Box of Joy Sorting and Packing Days almost here!

We’re only 18 days away from 2026 Box of Joy sorting and packing days! Join us November 4-7 at the Moose Lodge (same building, bigger room this year!). Come whenever you can and stay as long as you like. If this is your first time volunteering or you are bringing new friends, please try to come at the beginning of one of the sessions so we can show you the ropes (details below). If you can let us know you’re coming it helps us with our planning!

What we still need: small toys, hard candy, and washcloths. We will happily accept leftover Halloween candy of all types. We can also use financial donations, so that we can get the boxes to the kids that need them. Donations can be made on our website.

Dates and Times for Box of Joy 2026

Wednesday

11:00-2:00 transfer items from storage

1:00-5:00 sort items, assemble boxes

Thursday

9:30-12:30 sort items, assemble boxes

12:30-3:30 sort and inventory items, assemble boxes

3:00-7:00 begin packing boxes for 10-14 year-olds

Friday

9:30-12:30 finish packing boxes for 10-14 year-olds

12:30-3:30 assemble boxes, prep for packing

3:30-8:00 pack boxes for 5-9 year-olds

Saturday

9:30-1:30 pack boxes for 2-4 year-olds

1:30-5:00 clean up, inventory and transfer items to storage
